The route takes place to the north of the Sierra Mariola, specifically in the area of Penya el Frare. It is a ring that goes around it. The starting point is the Hermitage of Sant Antoni, finishing the route at the same point. It is advisable to start the route on the right side of the house when you reach the second information booth at the crossroads or fork in the path, but it is perfectly possible to do it in both directions.
To start the route we will take the Camí Racó Roca, we will pass by several chalets, by a source of drinking water (la Plana de Aguas del Pinar). After ten minutes we will arrive at the Chicharra railway (Muro-Cieza), we will continue by the flattening, arriving at the cabin in ruins. The path on the left before the square is the climb to the climbing area. After passing the square, we have been walking for 20 minutes from the starting point, leaving the level and continuing along the path on the left, and immediately taking a path on the right parallel to the railway, then going back out to the level of the railway passing a source of drinking water (Penya el Frare also in Aguas de Pinar), we have been walking for 30 minutes from the starting point. We will arrive at a crossroads and take the path on the left, passing the Caira hut with a pine forest, soon there will be a path that will take us to the track that goes to Agres, we will take this path on the left, passing under the El Norte railway bridge, when we arrive at the crossroads we will take the path on the left, we will discard the path on the right that goes to the village of Agres (we have been walking for 50 minutes from the starting point), we pass the Baldomero hut, the path here is uphill. We will arrive at the Juanito Albert hut, we will leave it on the left and we will continue on the right, we will arrive at the crossroads where there is an unfinished hut, it is the Manolo Gallina hut, on the left the path leads to the Candela hut, we will take the path on the right that there is a chain, (we have been walking for 1: 30h, from the starting point), after a slope we will arrive at the highest part of the route, immediately we will arrive at the Payano hut under a great pine tree, (we are walking 1:50h from the starting point). This path is all downhill, we will go through the karst, we will come to some olive tree terraces, we will go out to a concrete track, passing under the bridge of the North railway, (we have been walking for 2:10h from the starting point), we will take the path to the left to look for the Raco Roca path and through it we will arrive at the crossing of the Cicharra railway where we had already gone up, to look for the Sant Antonio chapel, starting and finishing point.
