It is of neo-Gothic style and its current construction dates from the beginning of the 20th century, being the work of the architect Timoteo Briet.
It is an exempt building, with the hermit’s house attached to its back. The construction is made of masonry and the roof, with two slopes, is made of slate slabs. The façade is in the neo-Gothic style, framed by two oblique buttresses at the corners, and is divided vertically into two bodies separated by an impost. The door is framed by several archivolts in a pointed arch. Above them is an impost, equally pointed, which is finished off with a cross.
On the way to this chapel we find the Via Crucis. Every Friday in Lent, this religious practice takes place, with a seasonal mass being celebrated in the chapel afterwards.
This chapel is very important during Holy Week, several Eucharists are celebrated there and then on April 25th, the last day of the Moors and Christians festival where they have lunch and go to the capitals of each group for the next year.
