Alfafara

Paratge de l'Assut d'AlfafaraLocated in the heart of the valley of Agres, Alfafara extends to the foothills of Mariola mountains at an altitude of 582 m above sea level. It's the smallest town of the area, with 418 inhabitants, and has peak heights as Porter (1081 m) or places as surprising as the Solana del Pantanet or places like l'Assut and the source of El Tarragó. In addition, the name, of Arabic origin, means "fountain flowing with violence" and is very likely to be given in reference to a waterfall that appears in rainy seasons, falling from the top of the rock called Penya del Xorro.
